Topweb LLC is a privately-owned commercial printing company that has served its customers for over 43 years, specializing in cold web offset and inkjet digital printing.  Also provides bindery, inserting, mailing, and delivery services. In addition, to the printing of community, college, and ethnic newspapers but also works closely with clients in public relations, event planning, and the fine arts.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanical Technician with 1-3 years of experience working in an industrial environment. The incumbent for this role will be preforming maintenance and repair functions for the entire production facility.


  • Coordinate with outside vendors, manage service agreements, and schedule annual inspections.
  • Safely perform electrical and mechanical repair work, trouble shooting, routine, and preventive maintenance on all production equipment.
  • Perform replacement of diagnosed faulty electrical or mechanical elements throughout the production facility.   
  • Complete preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts as required.
  • Order spare parts, replacement parts and other materials required.
  • Effectively and safely use a wide variety of electrical test equipment and common hand tools.
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding on-going issues and ability to provide resolution with proper documentation and root cause analysis.
  • Perform all tasks within established safety and maintenance procedures.
  • Facilitate employee training on OSHA and safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • 1-3 years of experience working in a maintenance capacity (including industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance) on production manufacturing equipment and/or have equivalent training or relevant education.
  • Must be a self-starter capable of working independently and prioritizing workload based on production needs.
  • Critical thinker with the ability to analyze problems and error conditions, identify root causes, and implement viable long-term solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, building plans and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify parts, and learn proper equipment operation.
  • Proficient with voltmeters and able to use a schematic diagram to troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Demonstrates strong basic computer skills to utilize the maintenance work order and inventory system.
  • Must be able to work effectively and respectfully with co-workers in a team environment.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Requires attention to detail.
  • Safety oriented.

 Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Requires frequent standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, grasping, and reaching.
  • Ability to occasionally lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to occasionally work at heights of 20-30 feet and on elevated platforms.
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders. 
  • Must be able to grasp objects utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination.
  • Valid driver’s license is required and will need to have your own vehicle.

Schedule Requirements:

  • The first 9-12 months will be on the job training during the 1st shift.  The approximate hours will be between 5:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday thru Friday.
  • Upon completion of job training, you will be working the 2nd shift.  The approximate hours will be between 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM (midnight), Monday thru Friday.
  • On-call as needed.
